What to do...
Customer had a dated 2-piece ensuite.
Wanted a 3-piece ensuite.
A wall was moved to make just enough space for a good 3-piece bathroom, without taking too much space away from master bedroom.
Some of the design options are shown in the Services\Design section.
3-piece bathroom, with shower tucked under stairs.
Lots of tile and glass to make a clean and functional bathroom.
The shower is a standard glass corner shower unit, but the standard walls have been replaced with ceramic tile for a nicer, more durable result.
Here is part of the original drawing showing the proposed bathroom, where the space under the stairs is used for the shower.
Nice use of space.
Removed plastic skirt on tub and replaced it with tile.
Matching tiled around tub, giving it a nice Roman feel.
Cut opening into closet to provide decorative shelving.
Don't worry, they have a big walk-in shower; this tub is a soaker-jacuzzi.
Old shower removed and enlarged.
Large polished porcelain tiles and finished with serious shower column.
Vanity re-topped with granite.
Tile motif repeated for back-splash.
Vanity with small tile back-splash.
Glass shower with subway tile walls.
Nice blend of large polished tiles and stone accents.
If you look closely at the "Framed" pic... just in front of the new round base, you can see a triangle in the tile. This is where the outside wall of the old shower used to be.
The new shower is twice as big on the inside as the old one, and easier to enter.
Also added lighting and venting.
