There are a lot of beautiful century homes in Guelph... with cold outer walls.
This home had solid brick walls with a bit of air-gap. Our approach was to "gut" the outer walls, make the air gap bigger with strapping, insulate, vapour barrier and drywall.
When the walls were exposed, this gave the electrician a chance to upgrade the wiring.
Builder had already insulated basement, so decision was to leave insulation and frame inside.
Studs on left, mounted flat against wall to maximize space at stair landing.

Customer had framed upper floor into open concept with cathedral ceilings. Hired Guelph Reno to finish the rest.
